The splitter can prevent the collected metal from being washed back into the product stream, while also preventing product degradation. Single step and double step plate magnets transfer products away from the surface of the magnet, while allowing impurity metals to be magnetically attracted and collected on the surface of the magnet behind the step. The stainless-steel magnetic plate area can maximize the holding force of the magnet. This type of plate magnet is easy to install and comes with sanitary hinges, latches, and installation hardware.
